Where can I see one of the Petersen Criminal Defense attorneys?

Our office is located in West Omaha, Nebraska at 12020 Shamrock Plaza, Suite 105, Omaha, Nebraska.

Are your phones really answered 24 hours a day?

Yes, they really are. Not by voice mail or answering service either. Because of the nature of our criminal defense practice, we find it necessary to be available to our clients and others in need at all times. We try to have an attorney available at all times, but on occasion, you will speak with a member of the support team, who will be more than happy to help you. This is an added benefit for people who need help with criminal defense. If you need to speak to an attorney right now, you may call 402-393-8080 and someone from our team will be happy to help you.

Do you have set office hours?

Yes. Our office hours are 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. But remember, you can speak to us 24 hours a day by telephone. We do not have set office hours for Saturday or Sunday, but we would be happy to meet with you on a weekend and any evening.

What if I can’t see the attorney during your normal office hours?

Our attorneys will be glad to meet with people over the weekend. In fact, we have found that weekend appointments are very popular with our clients.

Do you handle matters other than DUI?

Yes. Our firm is considered a “boutique” firm, specializing in DUI and Criminal Defense only. Due to changing law and the bulk of knowledge necessary to handle a specific matter, we try to stay focused on our one practice area. Instead of knowing a little about a lot of areas of law, we have chosen to specialize in DUI and Criminal Law. Normally when someone wants us to handle a case out of our practice scope, we refer them to an attorney who we feel is most qualified in that area of law. Occasionally, a client will insist that we are the only people for them to work with. In that case, we associate an attorney who we feel is most qualified in that specific area of law. We then work with our client and that specialist to complete the matter.

Can you get someone out of jail in the middle of the night?

We get that question a lot! The answer is yes and no. Can we? We have many times. Do we? We will try our best. Sometimes it can happen within an hour or so, and sometimes it cannot happen at all. The real answer is that each person’s circumstances are different. Those facts, along with the availability of the duty Judge, determine whether or not we can get someone out of jail in the middle of the night.

Can you come see me in jail?

Yes we can, but we are usually retained before we make a correctional center visit. After being retained by someone who is incarcerated, our attorneys will go meet the client at the correctional center. Our attorney will visit the correctional center as quickly as possible to speak to the client about the matter and get all the facts.
